About the Team
The Columbus (Georgia) Redstixx played in the Class A South Atlantic League from 1991-2002. A Cleveland Indians farm club, the Redstixx were named in honor of a faction of the Muscogee tribe of Native Americans, the Red Sticks. The club’s mascot was FredStixx, a fox. The Redstixx played home games at historic Golden Park, located on the banks of the Chattahoochee River. They played their home games at Ragsdale Field in 1996 while
Golden Park was used for that year’s summer Olympic Games.
