Amarillo Calf Fries

The Amarillo Calf Fries are the alternate identity of the Amarillo Sod Poodles. They were nominated "Best Alternate Identity" at the 2023 MiLB Awards. 
The Sod Poodles, who are affiliated with the Arizona Diamondbacks, temporarily changed their name, mascot, and jerseys to the Calf Fries for various games throughout their MiLB Season.
The Calf Fries identity was chosen to engage fans locally and nationally, and to celebrate the traditional western flare delicacy, which is also known as Cowboy Oysters, Prairie Oysters, and Rocky Mountain Oysters.
The team's logo features a calf in a burning caldron, and merchandise has a vibrant orange and light blue theme.
